DG of Asom Rifles reviews Manipur situation

Imphal, May 9 (UNI) Director General of Asom Rifles(AR) Lieutenant General Paramjit Singh today reviewed the situation in Manipur and visited some stations of AR.

During his visit he reviewed the existing security situation and developmental projects being undertaken by the AR in Manipur, AR officials said.

The DG arrived at Imphal yesterday and was briefed about the situation by Maj General B K Chengapa, IG of AR(South). The DG also visited the Keithelmanbi headquarters of 9 Sector AR and was briefed by Commander HQ 9 Sector and Commandant 32 AR. He interacted with troops.

The DG also visited Somsai, Hengkot and Moirang where he was briefed by the respective AR commanders. He departed for Shillong later in the evening.
