Kolkata, May 9 (UNI) The CPI(ML-Liberation) today urged President A P J Abdul Kalam and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to terminate RJD MP Md Shahabuddin's membership from Parliament.

Talking to mediapersons here, CPI(ML-L) General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharjee alleged that the controversial MP was under the banner of political parties and both Central and state governments were backing him, but yesterday's judgment signalled the victory of the people of Siwan and the CPI(ML-Liberation).

Md Shahabuddin was sentenced to life-in-prison by Siwan Special Court on charge of kidnapping CPI(ML) leader Chhote Lal Gupta from Andardhala railway crossing under Hussainganj police station of Siwan district in February, 1999.

He demanded that the RJD MP's membership should be terminated from the house, and said his party would continue with its movement throughout the state until the membership of the controversial MP was terminated.
