Bhopal, May 9 (UNI) BJP President Rajnath Singh today asked the Centre to register protest with China and Pakistan against the alleged intrusion in Arunachal Pradesh and over Siachen issue respectively.

Mr Singh told reporters here that the Centre had failed miserably on the foreign issue front.

''It is a matter of deep regret that the country is not being taken into confidence over important strategic and defence-related issues,'' he said.

He alleged that Chinese troops had made an incursion of 20 km into Arunachal Pradesh and seized Asatola and Ornanda checkposts, vacated by Indian troops during winter.

Mr Singh said the government had not taken the comment of the Chinese Ambassador in this regard seriously.

Likewise, it was maintaining silence over the statements being given by Pakistan Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and Defence Minister Rao Sikandar Iqbal regarding Siachen, which was strategic from the viewpoint of the country's security.

The BJP leader asked the Centre to take public into confidence over these two issues and register protest with the Chinese President and the Pakistan Government.
