42 criminals of inter-state gangs held

Chandigarh, May 9 (UNI) As many as 42 criminals of inter-state gangs, who used to loot passengers and vehicles on the roadside, have been arrested by the Haryana Police in the Gurgaon NCR region during the last three months under a special drive.

A police spokesman said the arrested criminals hailed from Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi and other states. Some of them were not only involved in many criminal activities but also habitual offenders as per police record, he said.

Police had recovered four country made revolvers, two revolvers, one 12 bore gun, 15 live cartridges, 20 knives, 15 iron rodes, motorcycles, trucks, dumpers and other luxury cars from their possession.

He said after putting them on challan the police had produced them in court where they had been put on police remand.
