3i infotech ties up with FINO for rural e-governance

Mumbai, May 9 (UNI) 3i Infotech, an IT solution provider, today signed an agreement with Financial Information and Operations Limited (FINO), to provide financial services through low-cost technology enabled channels, using Common Service Center (CSC).

CSCs are the primary physical front-end for delivery of government and private services to citizens for enabling anytime anywhere delivery of government services.

3i Infotech is working closely with Department of Information Technology on various mission mode schemes of the e-governance project.

The company has won CSC project in Karnataka and Haryana and rolled out CSC services in Karnataka.

Addressing mediapersons, Anirudh Prabhakaran, CEO, South Asia, 3i Infotech said,'' To further enhance the service levels to rural citizens through CSC's this-tie up is aimed towards offering financial services to the rural population.'' ''We are graduating from pilot e-governance projects to bigger mission mode projects. The core strategy is to move ahead in a systematic manner, and the approach is to achieve success step-by-step'' added Prabhakaran.
