39 people affected by food poisoning

Mandsaur, MP, May 9 (UNI) At least 39 people, including 17 children, were hospitalised due to suspected food poisoning after partaking food at a marriage reception here last night.

Hospital sources said many people showing symptoms of nausea and diarrhoea turned up at the district hopsital after midnight last night. All 39 had been admitted and their condition was improving.

An unspecified number of people with same symptoms turned up at private hospitals.

A reception was organised at a hotel on the occasion of the marriage of local resident Vimal Kumar Jain's son Amit.
