Venus completes 3rd phase of Rs 100cr project

New Delhi, May 8 (UNI) Pharma company Venus Remedies today said it has completed the third phase of its Rs 100-crore Baddi project which has been put on trial and the commercial production is likely to start from next month.

It consists of two dedicated plants, one for liquid injectible filling in glass vials and second for injections in Ampoule form.

These plants will cater to a wide variety of specialty products in the anti-biotic, anti-emetic, NSAID, anti-viral, anti-microbial, anti-allergic and muscle relaxant segments.

Each facility has a production capacity of about one lakh pieces per day in single shift of eight hours, a statemment.

Out of the eight planned units, six have been completed.

Two facilities of the first phase are running in full, while the other two facilities in the second phase have launched commercial production.

The remaining two are under validation and trial runs since last month.

These facilities have complete automation, from filling till final packaging and the surveillance equipment.
