Vanzara, two officers sent to judicial custody till May 25

Ahmedabad, May 8 (UNI) Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court, Ahmedabad, today remanded the three IPS officers, arrested in connection with the 'fake encounter' killing of alleged criminal Sohrabuddin Sheikh in November 2005, to judicial custody till May 25.

The three suspended IPS officers - Border Range DIG D G Vanzara, Superintendent of Police of Gujarat Intelligence Bureau Rajkumar Pandian and SP of Alwar in Rajasthan Dineshkumar M N were produced before the CMM Judge K J Upadhyay in the evening as their police remand ended today.

Three other police personnel - Police Inspector N H Dabhi, two armed policemen Santram Sharma and Ajay Parmar - arrested by the CID Crime branch yesterday, were also produced before the CMM Court, which remanded them to police custody for seven days.
