Tuticorin Port Trust, SSCL file caveats

Chennai, May 8 (UNI) The Tuticorin Port Trust and Sethu Samudram Corporation Limited (SSCL) today filed four individual caveats in Madras High Court and city civil court against BJP, AIADMK, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Janata Party.

In its caveats, the Port Trust and SSCL submitted that no orders should be passed on Sethu Samudram project without hearing the caveators.

The caveats were filed in the city civil court because the registered office of the SSCL was in Chennai and the other caveats were filed in High Court because it had maritime jurisdiction.

The caveats were filed following recent statements by the political parties that they would file cases against the Sethu Samudram project.
