Syndicate Bank Q4 net jumps 911 pc

New Delhi, May 8 (UNI) Syndicate Bank today posted a whopping 911 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 104.3 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 10.31 crore for the same quarter last fiscal.

The total income increased 54 per cent at Rs 1,930.4 crore for Q4FY07 from Rs 1,255.06 crore during the corresponding quarter a year ago.

The bank registered an increase of 33 per cent in net profit to Rs 716.07 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 536.49 crore during the last fiscal.

The total income increased 44.36 per cent to Rs 6,658.55 crore during fiscal 2007 from Rs 4,612.38 crore in the same period a year ago.

The Board of Directors of the Bank also recommended a final dividend of 13 per cent for the year 2006-07 in addition to an interim dividend of 15 per cent.
