Select metal prices eases further on poor industrial demand
Mumbai, May 8 (UNI) Select metal prices eased further today on poor industrial demand, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange said.
In the ferrous section, copper heavy, copper utensils, brass utensils and brass cutting declined by Rs 200 each per quintal on sustained heavy selling pressure.
In the non-ferrous section, copper wire bars, zinc slab and aluminium ingots fell by Rs 500, Rs 200 and Rs 100 per quintal respectively on increased offers by stockists.
Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 36,500, Copper utensils - Rs 33,800, Brass utensils - Rs 26,000, Brass cuttings - Rs 27,000 and Aluminium utensils - Rs 11,900.
Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 40,000, Aluminium ingots - Rs 14,100, Zinc slabs - Rs 20,200, Lead ingots - Rs 10,000, Tin slab - Rs 750 (per kg) and Nickel cathode - Rs 2,300 (per kg).
