Relatives of Kenyan aircraft crash victims to get free ticket

New Delhi, May 8 (UNI) The Overseas Indian Affairs (OIA) Ministry tonight announced that two return tickets and free accommodation would be made available to the next of kin of those Indians who were killed in the crash of the Douala (Cameroon)-Nairobi Kenyan Airways flight on May 5, if they wished to travel there to claim the bodies.

The Office of the OIA Minister Vayalar Ravi said the Kenyan Airways had agreed to bear the cost of two return tickets per boarded passenger for the next of kin who wished to travel to Duala.

Accommodation would also be provided for reasonable duration by the airways.

It said the office of the Kenyan Airways Passenger centre could be contacted at 00237-5296505 and 00237-5296507 and --237-5296509.

It also gave the numbers of the OIA officials who could also be contacted: Mr Jagadananda Panda, Protector General of Emigrants - 09910755155 and Mr R C Meena, Under Secretary (Emigration) - 0986812883.
