Need for coordination between police, public: LG
New Delhi, May 8 (UNI) Delhi Lt Governor Tejender Khanna today emphasised the need for a proper coordination between the police and the public for the police to meet the manifold challenges confronting it.
''The rapid growth of population, urbanisation, and industrialisation has increased manifold the challenges and problems faced by the Delhi police which have to be sorted out with innocuous courage,''the Lt Governor said in his address at the passing out parade at the Police training college here.
Addressing the cadets, Mr Khanna said,''the police can get the high confidence in the public when it will serve the people and not govern the people. The police personnel should be ready to serve the needy persons to give the confidence of security and safety to the general public.'' 1893 recruit constable of the Delhi Police passed out from the training college. The trainees have come from different states of India.
