Man caught while trying to smuggle diamonds worth Rs 1.20 cr
Mumbai, May 8 (UNI) Sleuths of Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) have arrested a man at the Sahar International Airport here, for allegedly trying to smuggle in diamonds worth Rs 1.20 crore.
The accused, whose identity is not yet known, was intercepted yesterday, on his arrival from New York by a Delta Airlines flight.
On scrutiny, they allegedly found one gold chain studded with 12 diamonds, worth Rs 1.20 crore and was later arrested, a release here today said.
Further investigations are on, sources added.
