New Delhi, May 8: Larsen&Toubro Ltd (L&T) today said it has secured an order worth Rs 215 crore from the Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority for the supply and installation of 33 KV power cables and fibre optic cables.

L&T will carry out the work as per the specifications of international consultant, Lahmeyer International Gmbh for inter connections between various substations in the eastern region of Abu Dhabi Area within 18 months.

The scope of the underground cabling contract includes design, manufacture, supply, installation as well as testing and commissioning of 33 KV cables and fibre optic cables including associated civil works.

The plan covers 11 substations in the eastern region of Abu Dhabi and will reinforce the power distribution network to meet the increasing power demand from existing and new customers.
