Laskar appointed General Secretary in-charge of media in Meghalaya

New Delhi, May 8 (UNI) Meghalaya Chief Minister D D Lapang has appointed Sariff Laskar as the General Secretary, in-charge of media.

Mr Laskar has also been asked to take charge of the Chairman's office of the North East Congress Coordination Committee with immediate effect, according to sources.

He had earlier served as political secretary to Mr Lapang during his first term as the Chief Minsiter of this hilly State of the North East.
