Hundreds of govt files gutted in fire

Ghazipur, May 8 (UNI) Hundreds of government files and documents were gutted, when the local office of youth welfare and state development group caught fire.

The incident took place yesterday evening, when the office, situated at Vikas Bhawan, suddenly caught fire, police said today.

Fire fighters rushed to the spot and extinguished the flames.

No one was reported hurt in the mishap, Mr Bhavneet Singh, chief development officer said.

The cause of the fire was still unknown.
