Gail India net jumps 66.33 pc at Rs 680.73 cr

New Delhi, May 8 (UNI) Gail India Ltd today posted a net profit jump of 66.33 per cent at Rs 680.73 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 409.26 crore for the corresponding period last year.

The total income of the company has increased to 6.73 per cent at Rs 3,996.30 crore for Q4FY2007 as compared to Rs 3,744.22 crore for the quarter previous year.

The company's net profit rose to 3.31 per cent at Rs 2,386.67 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 2,310.07 crore for fiscal 2006.

The total income has increased by 11.24 per cent at Rs 16,592.13 crore for 2007 from Rs 14,914.95 crore during the last year.

The company's board of directors also recommended the payment of final dividend at 20 per cent on the paid-up equity share capital of the company for FY07, a statement issued by BSE said.
