Forum to move SC against Indo-US nuke deal
Mumbai, May 8: The Forum for Integrated National Security proposes to file a public interest litigation in the Supreme Court against the Indo-US nuclear deal.
Mr M N Ramamurthi of the Forum, while addressing a press conference here today, said the PIL will be filed against the External Affairs Ministry.
''The deal should be in black and white and there should be total clarity in the agreement as it involves the security of the nation,'' Mr Ramamurthi said.
Mr Ramamurthi, while pointing out that the deal requires both countries to amend their domestic atomic energy legislations and that the Indian government will have to adhere to all conditions stated in the deal, said India's sovereignty will be compromised and the foreign policy of India will be dictated by the US.
