Energy gallery to be inaugurated

Bhopal, May 8 (UNI) An educational gallery 'Energy' is being started by the Regional Science Centre of the National Council of Science Museums here.

Mumbai-based Nehru Science Centre Director A S Manekar told reporters here today that no science centre in the country has a gallery on the same theme.

The gallery consists 56 exhibits in the form of working models, visuals, multimedia presentation, interactive computer-based display etc spreading over an area of 450 sq mts.

Minister of State for Higher Education Tukojirao Puar will inaugurate the gallery at 1100 hrs tomorrow.

Mr Manekar said various forms of energy play an important role for life on the planet and search for new forms of energy for future was underway.

He said the gallery would be a centre for attraction for students as well as other people because of its importance in daily life.

An official release stated that the gallery is aimed at educating visitors about different forms of energy, its production and practical applications, environmental issues, world energy reserves and future possible sources of energy etc.
