EC announces election schedule for Lok Sabha by-polls

Shimla, May 8 (UNI) The Election Commission today announced the election schedule for Hamirpur Lok Sabha by-polls, which are to be held on June 2, state Chief Electoral Officer Manisha Nanda said.

The last date for receiving applications is May 15, nominations would be scrutinised the next day, while the last day for the withdrawal of the names would be May 18, she said in a release here.

Ms Nanda said the polling would be held from 0800 hrs to 1700 hrs on June 2 and the election process would be completed by June 8.
