Court sentence man to lifer

Rourkela, May 8 (UNI) Additional Sessions Judge V Jayshree has sentenced one person of Dandapani village to life imprisonment in a murder case of 2005.

The prosecution said the accused Mical Tete (53) had hacked to death Alexus Lakra on October 23, 2005, in an abandoned house in Jamjhoria village under Brahmanitaranga police station.

Police said frequent quarrels took place between the accused and the deceased regarding the ownership of the house.

Later Michal Tete confessed of the crime to the villagers.

After investigation, the police submitted the chargesheet under section 302 of the IPC.

Besides a lifer Tete had been fined with Rs 10,000 which failing to pay he would undergo rigorous imprisonment of another one month.
