Ammonia leakage affects people in Bareilly district
Lucknow, May 8 (UNI) Pandemonium broke out this evening in Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh when ammonia gas started leaking from a tank at a warehouse.
The gas effected several people, who had to be rushed to hospital.
The incident took place at a cold storage on Rampur highway under Quila police station area, where the gas leaked from the tank and soon hit the nearby areas.
The fire brigade personnel have reached the spot and rescue operations are on, police said.
The locals have been cautioned not to stay in the area till the situation comes under control.
