AIGGIG launches AIG India Equity Fund
Ahmedabad, May 8 (UNI) US-based financial services major AIG Global Investment Group (AIGGIG) has launched its maiden ''AIG India Equity Fund'' scheme that opened for purchase from May 3 and will end on May 31.
AIG India Equity Fund is an open ended diversified equity fund with no biases, AIGGIG Asia Head Ravi Mehrotra said while addressing a press conference here today. The fund has the flexibility to invest across companies without having any bias towards a particular sector, investing style or market capitalisation range, he said.
AIG Global Asset Management India chief executive officer Saurabh Sonthalia said the company is endeavouring to become a significant player in the Indian asset management industry in the years to come because of its experience and insight of 86 years in investments.
Mr Mehrotra said AIGGIG's philosophy is to align with the interests of the investors by taking a meaningful stake in the asset class.
He said AIGGIG funds would ''form an integral part of the investor's public portfolio'' on the basis of its pedigree, investing philosophy and the depth of experience.
