70 taken ill due to food poisoning

Bhind (MP), May 8 (UNI) About 70 people, who attended a marriage in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday night, fell ill due to food poisoning late last night, police said today.

Police said about 70 residents of Hamirapur village of the district had returned after participating in a marriage at the residence of Nathuram Tiwari of Jamunapura village in Jalaun district of Uttar Pradesh.

They had shown symptoms of food poisoning after partaking of food at Tiwari's residence on Sunday night.

The affected were administered first aid at the primary health centre at Ron, while ten people referred to the district hospital here.
