5 killed as Tata Sumo collides with a tree in Vadodara
Vadodara, May 8 (UNI) Five persons, including four women, were killed today when the Tata Sumo, in which they were travelling, hit a tree near Sehwa village in Sinhor talka of the district.
The accident occurred in the wee hours after the driver lost control of the vehicle, police sources said.
Of the 14 persons travelling in the vehicle, the remaining nine were injured, three of them seriously.
The injured have been admitted to Sayaji hosptial here.
The deceased have been identified as Sohil Pathan, Santaben Waghri, Kaliben Waghri, Maniben Waghri and Santaben Waghri.
The deceased were working as lamp-bearers for marriage parties and had gone with the remaining persons, carrying lamps, to marriage function at Dabhol yesterday.
