3 Bank managers booked for depositing fake currency in RBI
Ghazipur, May 8 (UNI) Three bank managers have been charged with depositing fake notes in the Kanpur branch of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) today.
Currency worth Rs 14,900 in total sent for deposition was found fake. Denominations of Rs 50, 100 and 500 from State Bank of India and two Union Banks of India of the district were detected as counterfeit, sources said.
Meanwhile, Manager of RBI (Kanpur Branch) P L Das lodged an FIR at Ghazipur Sadar Kotwali police station against the accused.
