Two young women drown in Narmada Canal

Vadodara, May 7 (UNI) Two young women today drowned in the Narmada canal near Amroli village in Nasvadi taluka of Vadodara district.

Police sources said Revaben Nareshbhai Rathod (25) and Minjal Vasantbhai Rathod (19) had gone to Narmada Canal to wash clothes but drowned after acidentally slipping into it.

Police and fire brigade officials managed to fish out the bodies after a five hour search. The bodies were locatd 10 km from the accident site.

The bodies have been taken to the hospital for an autopsy.
