Three more policemen held in fake encounter case
Gandhinagar, May 7 (UNI) The Gujarat CID today arrested three more policemen in connection with the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case.
The three have been identified as N H Dabhi, Santram Sharma and Ajay Parmar, a personal assistant to Superintendent of Police (operations) Rajkumar Pandian. They were attached to the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) which was once led by its arrested chief D G Vanzara.
Sharma was allegedly in Ilol village, Vanzara's hometown, when Sohrabuddin's wife Kauser Bi's body was brought to the suspended officer's bungalow.
Earlier, Vanzara, Pandian and M N Dinesh Kumar, an IPS officer of Rajasthan cadre, were arrested on April 24.
Sohrabuddin's was gunned down by police on November 26, 2005, on the outskirts of Ahmedabad, while Kausar Bi was allegedly murdered two days later.
