Three children killed, four injured in Chanakyapuri slum fire

New Delhi, May 7 (UNI) Three children were killed and four others were injured when a fire broke out in a slum colony near the US embassy in Chanakyapuri here around midnight last night.

The fire department said three of the injured are in a serious condition. They have been admitted to the burns ward of the RML hospital. Those who perished were aged three, four and seven.

Eight fire tenders were pressed into service and the fire was brought under control within an hour.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
