TADA court summons 23 not found guilty in 1993 serial blasts

Mumbai, May 7 (UNI) Twenty-three people, including three members of the Memon family and Ajay Marwah, friend of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who were found not guilty by the special TADA court for their involvement in the 1993 serial bomb blasts case, have been summoned to be present in the court on May 9.

As many as 123 people stood accused in the serial bomb blasts case, of which 100 had been convicted.

Special TADA Judge P D Kode has asked defence advocates Subhash Kanse and Farhana Shah to ensure that all the 23 people summoned be present in the court.

Judge Kode had started delivering the judgement from September 12 last year.

Legal sources said on May 9, the Judge may formally pronounce the acquittal of all the 23.
