Subramanya receives 11 cm rain
Bangalore, May 7 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours today.
Rainfall occurred at many places over South Interior Karnataka; at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka.
Heavy rainfall: Subramanya 11, Shirahatti 7.
Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Chitradurga, Tarikere, Jagalur 6 each, Hassan, Sravanabelgola, Malavalli 5 each, Shivani, Sargur, Chamarajnagara, Kanakapura 4 each, Kadur, Alur, Bangalore City 3 each, Kottigehara, Kerur, Kollegal, Ramagiri, Mysore, Srirangapatna 2 each, Mani, Puttur, Belgaum Airport, Dharwad, Hubli, Balaganur, Arsikere. C.R.Patna, Anekal, Davanagere, Hosadurga, Kibbanahalli, Mudigere, Nelamanagala, Ramanagara, Kibbanahalli 1 each.
Maximum temperatures changed little over the State. They were appreciably above normal at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and above normal at a few places over Interior Karnataka.
Gulbarga recorded highest maximum temperature of 42.3 degree Celsius over the State.
Forecast valid until Wednesday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over Interior Karnataka and isolated places over Coastal Karnataka.
