Six of family killed in Anand road mishap

Anand, May 07 (UNI) Six persons of a family were killed and three injured when the Maruti van in which they were travelling collided with a truck early today at Bagodara-Tarapur highway, near Meman village.

The deceased have been identified as: Vishnubhai Ganpatbhai Kachia Patel, Nainaben Vishnubhai Kachia Patel, Janakiben Vishnuben Kachia Patel (6 yr old), Bharabhai Ganpatbhai Kachia Patel, Kaminiben Kamleshbhai Kachia Patel and Dikshaben Kamlesbhai Kachia Patel (8 yr old).

The three injured have been admitted to Ahmedabad Civil Hospital. The deceased were all from Umreth in Anand district and were on their way to the famous Hanuman temple in Sarangpur in Bhavnagar district.

After the accident, the driver of the truck has gone missing, according to police sources.
