Rains likely in Andaman

Pune, May 7 (UNI) Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in Andman and Nicobar Islands.

They are also likely to occur at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Rayalseema, Karnataka and Kerala.

The rains are also likely to occur at isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh, south Konkan, Goa, south Madhya Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over the west Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Gujarat, north Konkan north Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada.

Heat wave conditions prevailed in some parts of west Rajasthan and at isolated places in Bihar and Kashmir. Hot day conditions also prevailed at isolated places in east Rajasthan.

Day temperatures were markedly above normal in the remaining parts of Kashmir. They were appreciably above normal in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Himachal Pradesh and south Madhya Maharashtra in some parts of Punjab and in remaining parts of Rajasthan and were above normal in some parts of Gujrat, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka.

The temperatures were markedly below normal in some parts of east Uttar Pradesh. They were appreciably below normal in Jharkhand in some parts of north Orissa and Chhattisgarh and in remaining parts of east Uttar Pradesh. They were below normal in west Uttar Pradesh, in some parts of Vidarbha and in remining parts of north Orissa. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers had occurred at most places in Jharkhand, and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

They had also occurred at many places in Assam, Meghalaya, south interior Karnataka and at a few places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Bihar, Haryana, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalseema and at isolated places in West Bengal, Sikkim, east Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, west Rajasthan, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Tamil Nadu, north interior Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.
