Rain occurs at few places over Coastal AP

Hyderabad, May 7 (UNI) Rain occurred today at a few places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Isolated rain over Rayalaseema and Telangana.

A release from Met Centre here said Penukonda recorded the highest rain fall of 5 cms, followed by Rentachintala 4, Parvathipuram and Srungavarapukota 3 each, Visakhapatnam airport, Ranasthalam, Komarada, Bobbili, Addanki, Peddapuram 2 each.

Maximum temperatures significantly rose at one or two places over Telangana and Rayalaseema and rose at a few places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh yesterday.

They were above normal at many places over Rayalaseema, at a few places over Telangana and at one or two places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh.

The highest maximum temperature of 43 degrees Celsius was recorded at Medak and Nizamabad, the office added.
