Probe into threat letter to Raje
Jaipur, May 7 (UNI) Police have started investigation into the origin of the letter threatening to kill Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje.
Even while the Chief Minister is on a tour of the volatile northern part of the state which had witnessed violent agitation for water some time back, some newspaper offices received a letter last night threatening to kill Ms Raje. The letter was written on the letterhead of Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad.
The letter acknowledged by one R S Midda said the Chief Minister displayed her royal mindset by ruthlessly suppressing and killing farmers in Gharsana and Raola in Gangannagar district.
He said the Chief Minister may not be aware of the fact that such brutal use of force on human beings may force some people to turn against her and pose a threat to her life.
The writter also expressed his regret that the Chief Minister's public function at Virdhwala passed off peacefully and he could not execute his plan. The letter concluded that the next twenty four hours are crucial to the life of Ms Raje.
District Superintendent of Police Vinita Thakur said the police has taken the threat seriously and started investigation.
