Patil to review Asom law and order

Guwahati, May 7 (UNI) Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil will arrive in Asom on a two-day visit tomorrow to review the law and order situation.

Mr Patil will hold a meeting with the Chief Minister, Asom police DGP, Chief Secretary and Army officials.

The meeting comes in the backdrop of another blast triggered by the ULFA in the capital city. At least 16 people were injured in the Fancy Bazaar area yesterday.

The Home Minister will be in the state till May 9, and return to New Delhi with the Prime Minister, who also arrives here tomorrow to file his nominations for the Asom Rajya Sabha elections.
