Mumbai gears up to welcome A380 Super jumbo

Mumbai, May 7 (UNI) After enthralling Delhiites by its maiden flight to India, Airbus A380 Super jumbo will land here at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Terminus on Wednesday.

The world's biggest passenger aircraft's maiden flght here is being hosted by Vijaya Mallya-owned Kingfisher Airlines, which is the only Indian airline and among 16 airlines globally to have ordered the plane from Europe's Airbus Industrie.

In Delhi, the jumbos' flight coincided with the second anniversary of Kingfisher.

Kingfisher Airlines had ordered five A380s superjumbo Airbus in 2005, among 15 planes in a deal worth about 3 billion dollar.

The Airline expects the first delivery of the aircraft in 2011, UNI IAS KU DKS RAI2048
