Maruti launches new Sedan 'SX4'

New Delhi, May 7 (UNI) Maruti Udyog Ltd (MUL) today launched its new Sedan Maruti 'SX4' in A-3 segment priced at Rs 6.18 lakhs to Rs 7.24 lakhs.

The Maruti SX4 Vxi model is priced at Rs 6.18 lakhs. Another model SX4 Zxi is priced at Rs 6.89 lakhs and SX4 Zxi (with leather pack) is priced at Rs 7.24 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

The initial capacity of the new Sedan will be 2,500 from the company's Manesar plant, Company Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Jagdish Khattar told reporters here.

Already 1500 SX4 have been booked last month and about 500 more are expected to be booked by tomorrow, he added.

When asked about Maruti's sales, Mr Khattar said the higher interest rates have had an impact on the overall sales figures.

Elaborating on the margins, he said, the company is least bothered about it and is more interested on the quality product.
