Raj: VHP man accused in Christian preacher attack

Jaipur, May 7: The main acccused, Virendra Singh Ravana, in the attack on Christian preacher here has been remanded to police custody for two days following his arrest yesterday.

Virendra, stated to be the mastermind behind the attack on Christian preacher Walter Massey, on April 29, is Vishwa Hindu Parishad's organising secretary for Jaipur. His arrest is likely to give a lead to the investigations.

The other two accused, Ramavtar alias Pappu and Anil Bagra, arrested yesterday, will be produced in court today.

With the arrest of these three, the total number of arrested in the case has gone upto 10. Five of the accused arrested on April 30 are in judicial custody till May 15.

A group of 10-12 masked youths had stormed into preacher Massey's home and thrashed him with sticks at his home in Nandpuri locality, accusing him of converting slum people into Christianity.
