Jail inmate gets Rs 10,000 interim relief

Bhopal, May 7 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Government has granted interim relief of Rs 10,000 to a Rewa jail inmate, Rani Gupta, whose one-year-old daughter died in jail last year.

The relief was granted following the recommendation of the Madhya Pradesh Human Rights Commission.

Pushpa died in the jail on October 2004 due to negligence in providing medical treatment and unavailability of specialised medical facilities.
