Infosys BPO awarded eSCM at level 4.0 by Carnegie Mellon
Bangalore, May 7 (UNI) Infosys BPO, subsidiary of Infosys Technologies, is now certified for e-sourcing capability model for service providers (eSCM-SP v2.0) at level 4.0 by the prestigious Carnegie Mellon University's IT Services qualification center (ITSqc).
Thus Infosys BPO was the first company in India that had affiliation with the ITSqc research consortium to be recommended for EScm certification at any level. This was the highest possible rating that an organisation could achieve at the first capability determination, a company release said here today.
The eSCM-SP certification was a quality model which would address critical issues related to the BPO spectrum and was increasingly being adopted by clients in the ITES industry.
Infosys Technologies co-founder and member of the Board K Dinesh, said "this was the first evaluation in the world covering the whole organisation, across multiple continents and geographies. Infosys BPO had adopted eSCM as a framework for ongoing improvement initiatives at the enterprise level".
IT Services Qualification Center (ITSqc) at Carnegie Associate Director Bill Hefley said an independent, third party evaluation of Infosys BPO's delivery, relationship management and quality systems had led to this certification by Carnegie Mellon.
The ITSqc's work was supported by a research consortium of leading service provider and client organisations in the IT services and ITES including BPO and KPO services marketplace.
