Mah: Infant found dead, unmarried mother held

Akola, May 7: An infant boy was killed here by his minor unmarried mother and her lover, the body of the infant was thrown on the road between Medshi to Chondhi under Malegaon taluka the police said here today.

The minor unmarried mother was arrested whereas her lover has decamped the police said. The horrible incident took place on April 30. The police was baffled to find the real mother of the dead infant.

An offence was registered under section 31 of IPC against the unknown mother but the police after hectic investigations and search arrested the unmarried mother yesterday the police said.

16-year old girl of Medshi and the 22-year old youth Uddhav Jadhav of the same village were in love since a year and had developed physical relations. The minor girl become pregnant and delivered a child boy on April 29.

On the basis of the girls complaint and offence as been registered against the youth of rape under 376 of IPC and section 12 of Prevention of Atrocities Act. Whereas the girl and the youth has been booked under section 302 of IPC for committing murder of infant boy and section 201 for destroying evidence. The minor mother has been arrested. While her lover has been reported absconding the police added.
