ND: Gujarat Ind Q4 net up by 186.8 pc

New Delhi, May 7: Gujarat Industries Power Company Ltd (GIPCL) today posted a 186.8 per cent jump in net profit at Rs 52.12 crore for the quarter ended March 2007 as compared to Rs 18.17 crore during the corresponding period last year.

Its total income also registered a growth of 22.08 per cent to Rs 230.62 crore during Q4FY07 from Rs 188.90 crore during Q4FY06.

The company recorded an increase of 59.32 per cent in its PAT for the year ended March 31, 2007 at Rs 182.92 crore as against Rs 114.81 crore during the last fiscal.

Total income during the year increased to Rs 882.79 crore from Rs 800.89 crore during FY06, rising by 10.22 per cent.
