Four killed, as many wounded in Kashmir accidents
Srinagar, May 7 (UNI) Four people, including a woman, were killed and as many wounded in different road accidents across the Kashmir valley since last evening, police said today.
A Maruti car hit and wounded 42-year old Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Dar at Nayee Basti Qaimoh in Kulgam district last night.
The injured was rushed to a hospital, but he succumbed on the way, police said, adding a case has been registered in this regard.
A woman, identified as Rafiqa Bano, was killed while her husband and son were critically wounded when a tanker hit their motorcycle at Malpora village near Qazigund on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway last evening.
However, the tanker driver fled away after the accident. Police have launched a hunt to nab him.
Ghulam Nabi Shah of Takanwari, wounded in an accident at Hazratbal yesterday, succumbed to injuries at SKIMS. Soura today.
A labourer, Abdul Rashid Bajad, injured in a stone quarry at Athawajan last evening, succumbed in hospital today.
Two women, Shakeela Begam and Sami Jan, pillion riding a motorcycle driven by Nazir Ahmad Khan, were hit and wounded by an unidentified vehicle. They have been hospitalised.
