Former MP returns assistance money to MP Govt

Bhopal, May 7 (UNI) Noted litterateur and former Rajya Sabha member Balkavi Bairagi has returned the assistance money of Rs 10,000 provided from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund for the treatment of his ailing wife.

Mr Bairagi, whose wife is undergoing treatment at New Delhi-based AIIMS, told UNI over telephone that he had received letter from the Neemuch Collector regarding the assistance money yesterday.

Mr Bairagi, who is also a Congress leader, said he expressed his gratitude towards the sympathy shown by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and returned the amount.

He Bairagi originally hails from Madhya Pradesh. His wife Sushil Chandrika Bairagi is suffering from a blood-related disease and is undergoing treatment in New Delhi since March 17.
