e-ticketing racket busted in Delhi

New Delhi, May 7 (UNI) With the arrest of five people, police today claimed to have busted a gang which used to fraudulently book air tickets by using credit cards.

K Ishwar Chander Singh, kingpin of the gang, M Shyama Nanda, Shubh Nath Jha, Saroj Singh and Jitender Giri were arrested on May 2, police said.

Incriminating documents, laptop and a mobile phone were recovered from the Mahipalpur house of Ishwar Chander Singh, a resident of Manipur, during the raid.

Jha, Saroj Singh and Jitender Giri, all working as document collectors on commission basis for various banks, including ICICI and HDFC, used to supply secret code numbers of the credit cards to Ishwar Chander Singh.

Ishwar Chander Singh has been sent to 10 days police custody.
