CM says three seats were offered to CPM in SMC elections

Shimla, May 8 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today said the Congress had offered three seats to the CPM in the Shimla Municipal Corporation (SMC) elections, which are to be held on May 23.

''In view of our coalition at the Centre, the Congress had offered three seats to the CPM, which turned down the offer,'' he told reporters here after releasing the party's manifesto for the SMC elections here.

Mr Singh said it was yet to be seen how many seats the party would win in the corporation elections.
