Call money opens slips again at 6.60 pc
Mumbai, May 7 (UNI) Call money rates today opened lower further at 6.50-6.60 per cent from their previous day's closing level of 7.25-7.50 per cent, dealers said here today .
Later it fluctuated between 6.25 and 6.75 per cent during the mid-morning session.
Dealers stated that,''Liquidity is eased largely because of government spendings, redemption and coupon payments which aided rates." Few traders reported that cash is sufficient in the system to absorb up-coming twin GOI bond auctions worth Rs.10,000 crore and MSS auctions worth Rs 2,000 crore and others said that the auction outflows are likely to put light pressure on the rates.
