Call money ends low at 6.25 pc
Mumbai, May 7 (UNI) Interbank call money rates today finished softer at 6.25-6.50 per cent as compared to Saturday's close of 7.25-7.50 per cent, dealers said.
Despite the twin GOI bond auctions and MSS auction scheduled in the week, cash supply was boosted in the banking system, which was sufficient to meet borrowing requirements.
At the LAF window, the RBI received 11 bids worth Rs 9,335 crore at the 1-day reverse repo window but accepted only Rs 3,000 crore, while no bid was received at the 1-day repo window.
In the CBLO segment, 430 bids for Rs 21,019 crore were traded in the range of 4.10-9.00 per cent.
Inter bank rates are likely to be softer due to redemptions and coupon payments, traders added.
